Okay, so I admit I can never truly stick to one style category: I could quite easily go from outstandingly casual to girly, to urban, boho or even a lil' bit of grunge all in one week. But if it came down to it, the one style I would nominate as my favourite would definitely be bohemian, although I have an interesting love/hate relationship with it. Whenever I see pictures of tanned girls in boho patterns, crochet or lace I think they look amazing, and I would love to be able to rock the same outfits. Unfortunately, I have the slight problem of being pale. Can you imagine white lace or bright, bold bohemian patterns and prints on skin equivalent to the background of this page? I think not. So, I do think there is a variety of pieces considered bohemian that would look alright on a vampire such as me on the market, but lets just say this one is like me going shopping on Rodeo Drive: I can see the pretty things, but I can't have it. Whatever. Over it. I've moved on.

I so haven't.

Alrighty then. With that all said and done, lets get into it!

 1. Serenity Body Chain, $48 @ Free People
Whenever I see these online, I feel the need to buy one 'cause they're just so pretty! You can style them with almost anything: at the beach, over a crop and skirt combo or even a singlet and shorts, the list goes on! I haven't gone so far as too seeing one in a store yet, but the moment I do, let's just say I'll have a few less dollars in my purse.

2. Gypset Print Maxi Skirt, 28.00 9.00 @ Jane Norman
My current obsession is with maxi skirts. The only reason I don't yet have one (or twenty)  crammed in my closet is because I'm in fear of buying it, thinking it looks good - but it doesn't. I'm in love with the idea of one and how they look on others, but I'm not sure if I'd be in love with the way one looks on me.

3. Cropped Lace Top, $59.99 @ Mango
I'd be lying if I said you couldn't get one almost identical to this for at least $40 cheaper somewhere else, but I just adore the sheer lace at the bottom, the thin simplicity of the spaghetti straps, and the fact that it zips up on the back to avoid messing up that well-tamed 'do of when you need it most.

4. Leggy Sunglasses, $465 @ Steven Alan
Yes, they are not the cheapest sunglasses: but the quality makes it almost worthwhile. I mean, you could totally just go to your normal clothes stores and pick up a pair of frames just like these for $20 (that's what I'd do), but if these won't break your bank and you're into that kind of investment: go for it.

5. Jessica Simpson Kaelani Heels, $152 $108 @ Online Shoes
To be honest, I think these are pretty, but not that pretty. I wouldn't necessarily consider buying them if it weren't for the fact that I think they style greatly with this particular outfit. But in all honesty, a nice pair of sandals would have completed this outfit just as nicely - despite the practicality of them.

6. Leaves Headpiece, $615 @ Luisa Viaroma
If you take away the fact that the price of this piece of jewellery can almost buy the latest iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S-whatever, then you have a gorgeous headpiece. Look, if I saw it in-store for $20-30 and I decided that it looked good on me, I would probably buy it.

7. Silver Feather Ring, $212 @ Carpe Diem Jewellery on Etsy
Gorgeous, but if its the feather style you're after, you can get two, quite similar for under $4 each at Forever 21 here and here.

It's here! Summer is upon us and we're getting celebratory with bright, festive colours and prints! My current favourite fruit is the inspiration behind this post, can you guess which it is? Totally joking.

This season, we're all about the fun, and pineapples are so in! *said with a try-hard sixteen year old girl voice*. So let's jump right into the good stuff:

        1. Pineapple Print Crop Blue, $19.99 $8.99 @ ROMWE
        2. Pineapple Print Crop White, $19.99 $8.99 @ ROMWE
I adore these cropped tops because not only can you wear them with literally any type of bottoms, but they are also super cute and affordable!

        3. Neon Yellow Glow in the Dark Nail Polish, $2.90 @ Forever 21
        4. High Voltage Yellow Nail Polish, $2.80 @ Forever21
These polishes are my favourite, bright summer picks because they hold such a rich, vibrant colour and match most skin tones! Added bonus that one of them is glow in the dark! Like seriously, how awesome is that?!

        5. Pineapple Palace Bell's Bach Dress, $110 @ Wildfox
My favourite feature about this dress is the flowiness of the design. It is such a versatile day dress, perfect for wearing to the shops or throwing on over your bathers at the beach!

        6. Pineapple Print Tee, $24.95 @ Zazzle
Not to sound cliché, but this tee is so me. I'm all for the oversized t-shirt and leggings look, and the pineapple just tops it off, resisting the thought of an overly plain outfit.

        7. Jessica Simpson Rosetta – Daffodil S Goat, $49.99 $45.99 @ Heels
These sandals are so adorable! They just scream summertime with their bright colour, and the striped sole is just too cute (even if the rest of the world can't see it when you wear them).

        8. Pineapple Charm Necklace, $20 @ American Apparel
Jewellery is the icing on the cake to any outfit, right? And what better to complete your perfectly styled getup than a mini pineapple!

        9. Pineapple Graphic Cushion, $15 @ Domayne
This is just so cute, pretty and every other positive adjective you can throw in there! This would look so good anywhere: on your chair or even on your bed!

                                             -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -

This post was a pleasure to write, and I must say that I enjoyed finding these cringe-worthy lines a little too much…

"If you were a fruit, you'd be a fineapple"
"You are the pineapple of my eye"

Wishing you an amazing summer – or what's left of it, I have less that a fortnight before I start back at school! It seems like the past month has flown by so fast, so make the most of your free time!

XOXO

Summer is upon us and its time to get our hair sorted! Let's face it: whilst we would all love to have the time in the morning to create our favourite perfected hair masterpieces, we don't. Sometimes Most times, we're scurrying to pull together our go-to quick fix (a simple, messy ponytail for example). So I've compiled a list of my favourite (and super quick!) hairstyles that you can put together in a pinch! And what is faster than simple braiding? Nothing. Ergo, my list below is revolved entirely around my favourite summer braids. Enjoy!

Messy Side Braid

This is by far a classic, but a favourite in my eyes.  I really seem to like deep side parts and lots of volume when it comes to anything on the side, as I feel it truly completes the look. What I love about this style is that it can easily be transformed from day to night with a simple outfit  or makeup adjustment, and has the added bonus of being super comfortable.

Messy Updo with Braids

Trust Jessica Alba to pull this one out of her bag of tricks! She is one of my most favoured idols, and literally every hairstyle she shows off – whether it be a messy bun or faux undercut on the side – she exhibits with perfection. This is quite a simple and quick hairstyle to master, so if you're in a rush for most of your mornings, this is a great 'do for you! It is also suitable for both casual and more formal events.

Double Fishtail Braided Headband

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge how beautiful Delta Goodrem looks in these photos? Thankyou.

I adore this style because of the contrast from the voluminous, bouncy curls to the tight fishtail braided headband. It is a really nice look for any occasion  and works nicely with a side part!

Waterfall Braid

Personally I love how in this particular braid, the sections are quite large and very few of them, compared to small and what seems like a lot which would take much longer to complete. This style looks so relaxed and could look great either with straight hair or soft curls.

Messy Braided Crown Half Updo
To me, this style reminds me of summer and the beach, and who doesn’t want that? It seems so easy going and a comfortable 'do to work with any casual day's outings. What I really like about this is that you could either leave strands out at the front (as shown above), or you could easily incorporate them into the braided crown so they don't bother you by getting in your face.

If you liked any of these hairstyles, just simply enter the name into your search engine to find a great tutorial!

Which of these styles was your favourite?
Let me know in the comments below! And let me know if you give any of these a try!

Happy summer holidays my pretties!

     1. Family & Friends. To me, my family and friends are everything. They are my support network, the ones I trust the most and the ones I cherish spending my time with.

     2. Christmas. December is like this whole month where everybody's spirit rises, and each and every one gets happier as the days go by; not only because families and loved ones connect over Christmas, but because it is a symbol of relaxation, fun laughter and a reminder that holidays are afoot!

     3. My Financial Position. Now I am in no way a rich white girl who lives in a mansion with a pool and butlers to attend to my every need, but I certainly am glad for my sense of stability. Sure, I could do a lot better, but gosh, I certainly could do a lot worse. Whenever I think about the unfortunate souls living in developing countries, struggling to get by with enough food to eat and shelter over their heads, it makes me feel ever so grateful for all the little things in life: mini shopping sprees, not knowing what to wear (when there's just too much to choose from, really), grabbing an iced coffee or eating out at a restaurant for brunch. To us these seem like such normal activities, but to some it would be unheard of, and quite frankly impossible. We are so lucky to have the basics, and often we forget about how fortunate we really are (especially when the Wi-Fi gets slow and what seems like all hell breaks loose). So next time you don’t quite have enough to buy the shiny new pair of totally in trend sneakers, be appreciative of what you have.

     4. Music. I'm afraid to say it, but without music my life would probably be an endless void of boredom and confusion. The music I listen to I find so relatable, and it often helps me to clear my mind and think through tough situations. It is in no doubt one of my support system, and whenever I'm feeling sad or lonely a pump-up song gets me going again.

     5. Technology. Our generation is so privelidged. Thinking back, our parents grew up without Internet, without computers, and without mobile phones. What were they supposed to do after school? Actually talk to someone? Just kidding, I talk to people! Maybe… Nevertheless, I'm sure a lot of people out in this wide world of fascinating things couldn't imagine life without technology, and I'm grateful for that.

     6. Makeup. Sure, a lot of girls do not even own any makeup, but a majority of others wouldn't dare step foot outside the door without a full face painted on. In some ways makeup isn't so good, because it costs a lot, leads to bad skin and some can go a little overboard (okay, maybe a lot overboard). Though if you look at it in a brighter perspective, makeup has been a blessing. It can boost self esteem, increase happiness, be a fun thing to do in the morning and even create common interests and hobbies.

     7. Internet. So I brushed lightly on internet above when I explained how grateful I was for technology in the first place, but this just puts them all into their own category. These days, we get home from school or work and pop right onto our laptop or phones to get the update on social media: see what our friends are doing, posting and liking (which when you think about it is slightly stalker-ish). Millions of people around the globe have found hobbies that require some internet in some way, such as gaming, blogging (eg. Moi), sharing photos, meeting new people and so on. Internet has opened up so many more career opportunities too! The Internet provides us with cool, funny and other experiences and is such a blessing when you think about how it connects one another.

     8. Aeroplanes. Big, heavy, metal things flying high in the sky at superfast speeds? Not my specialty, and if you'd introduced me to the idea of flying machines of any sort a hundred or so years ago I would have been very sceptical to say the least. Though the amazing invention has brought millions of people closer, introduced new opportunities to relax and have fun, and reunites so many people everyday.

     9. Trust. Without trust, the world would be a cold, lonely place. That is all I have to say.

     10. Hope.  People can do extraordinary things with jut a pinch of hope. It inspires, brings happiness, connects, brings forth so many incredible opportunities, and will one day cure cancer.

     11. Sleep. Now I know that this post is part of the Tuesday Treasures series, and that I would normally only have ten components to this list, but I deemed this a necessary extension. Sleep is such an incredible, inarticulate thing. It is like this void where you are awake, but suddenly you're not and your train of thought and conscience just disappear and become a whir of fantasy, morphing your very own adventurous story for a few hours that truly seem like minutes. Then poof, all of a sudden you are awake and back to the screaming reality that all you really want to do is to roll back over and do it all over again.

Have a super-duper extraordinary day!
